Congrats

Shelly Taylor's new chapbook, Peaches: The Yes-Girl, is out from Portable Press at Yo-Yo Labs.

EXCERPT:

The girl gets a goose, holds the goose up, says baby. If a girl were tomorrow, has long eyelashes, a five finger spread; hedgehog. The dress ruffles like baleen, bone white the apron, strung extra-tight, the strings. But the goose is not a goose, more flamingo, more meet me in the cave for an ice cream float, wear your best Mary Janes gone blacker. Queen of Hearts rends your mouth gone open, even the yew tree pales in circumstance. Remember what the doorknob says. Pillow crown shrubs, long hair in a space of cooing & Norma Jean & the Queen says your head goes off, heart on a staff, or open up your mouth for this that I am throwing.

Get yours here.
